Risk Disclosure
Last updated 17 August 2026
Read this before you subscribe, and again before you place a trade based on anything this Service publishes. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
Trading Gold, Bitcoin and leveraged derivatives carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose your entire investment, and with leverage you can lose more than you deposited. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose entirely.
1. Nobody here is advising you
ForexPro Terminal is software. It applies a fixed set of technical-analysis rules to price data and publishes what those rules conclude, along with the reasoning. That output is general, impersonal information — it knows nothing about your finances, your objectives, your tax position, your other holdings or your tolerance for loss, and it does not attempt to.
We are not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, introducing broker, fund manager or fiduciary, and we are not registered as any of those with any regulator. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation that a transaction is suitable for you. If you want advice about your own situation, speak to a licensed professional in your country.
2. Every decision and every order is yours
The Service contains no order-execution capability at all. It does not connect to your broker, cannot place, modify or close a position, and never holds your money. Whatever a signal says, a human being — you — chooses whether to act, at what size, and when to get out. The consequences follow that decision, not the signal.
3. We publish no win rate, and you should distrust anyone who does
We make no representation of any kind about accuracy, profitability, win rate, expectancy, drawdown or return. We do not publish a headline performance figure, because we have not measured one we would stand behind as predictive of the future.
What ships instead is the measurement tool: you can replay the live engine over historical data, with your own spread, slippage and fee assumptions, and read the result yourself. Please treat any service quoting a win rate without a reproducible run behind it with suspicion — including if it is ever us.
4. Past performance means nothing about the future
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Market conditions change; a strategy that worked in one regime can fail badly in the next. No pattern of past success, real or simulated, creates any expectation of future profit.
5. Specific risks worth naming
- Leverage. Margin trading magnifies both gains and losses. A small adverse move can wipe out your position, and depending on your broker and jurisdiction you may owe more than your deposit.
- Volatility and gapping. Gold and Bitcoin can move violently on news, and markets can gap through your stop. A stop-loss level is not a guarantee that you exit at that price.
- Crypto is different. Bitcoin trades continuously, including weekends, is largely unregulated in many jurisdictions, and is exposed to exchange failure, hacking, custody loss and abrupt regulatory change.
- Execution and cost. Spread, slippage, commission, financing and swap charges all worsen your real result versus the level a signal shows — and they matter far more to short scalp trades than to longer swing trades.
- Data risk. Price data comes from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, revised or simply wrong. A signal computed from bad data will be a bad signal.
- Availability risk. The Service can be interrupted by outages, maintenance, provider failures or network problems. It may be unavailable exactly when you most want it, and a signal or alert may be delayed or never arrive. Do not build a trading plan that depends on it being up.
- Model risk. The strategy rules are a simplification of the market. They can be wrong, can be badly suited to current conditions, and are changed from time to time as the software evolves.
- Liquidity risk. In fast or thin markets you may be unable to enter or exit at or near the price you wanted.
- Currency risk. If your account is denominated differently from the instrument, exchange-rate moves affect your result independently of the trade.
6. Hypothetical and simulated results
The Service includes a backtesting tool. Any figure it produces is a hypothetical simulated result derived from historical data under assumptions you selected — not a record of actual trading, and not a promise.
Hypothetical performance disclaimer. Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, because the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
Backtests are also vulnerable to overfitting: a rule set tuned until it looks good on past data frequently performs worse on data it has never seen. Treat a favourable backtest as a hypothesis, not as evidence.
7. Risk controls are aids, not protection
The Service offers position sizing, daily and weekly loss limits, a loss-streak throttle and an emergency stop. These help you follow a plan you set. They are calculations inside a piece of software — they cannot close a position, cannot stop you trading elsewhere, and cannot prevent a loss. Their outputs are only as good as the inputs you gave them, including the account balance you entered.
8. Your own jurisdiction
Retail access to leveraged FX, CFDs and crypto derivatives is restricted or prohibited in a number of countries, and rules differ sharply between them. Making sure your trading is lawful where you live is your responsibility. The Service is operated from {{JURISDICTION}} and is not directed at anyone in a country where offering or using it would breach local law.
9. Tax
Trading gains and losses have tax consequences that depend entirely on where you live and how you trade. We give no tax advice. Talk to a qualified tax adviser.
10. Acknowledgement
By subscribing to or using ForexPro Terminal you confirm that you have read and understood this disclosure, that you accept full responsibility for your own trading decisions and their outcomes, and that you are trading only with money you can afford to lose.
